In my darkest times the fear of which all those who have in my case colorectal cancer T4 and been on that journey never being sure just where that journey ends, is the buffers, or is it just the amber signal.
Dr Mayer inspired me and gave a strength that monthly visit I would have before if my pre tests allowed, that when Dr Mayer would to greet me I knew by her look I had a further chance.
Such was the trust, utmost professionalism that equally had the news not have good or lucky I would like to think I could have coped knowing that the best attempt had been made.
Not withstanding the whole team from the nursing staff the great in many ways Consultant colorectal surgeon I had; this far as far as know I could be ok for where I now live and hoped the follow up treatment would have of necessity continued, when my notes were passed, the clinical answer was “well we don’t do that here”.

Dr Mayer must be at great loss obviously her successor is without question as good.

I just felt a frieghtend individual who had been proud to have the wonderful NHS of old was so lucky with the team, but my eternal for as long as I have, thanks to to Doctor Mayer
