Unprofessional. There was a 2 month wait for an appointment, but I accepted that. I made a booking, and provided my insurance details – the name of the insurance company, the policy number and authorisation code from the insurance. Everything continued, until 4 days before the appointment when they called me to say that they do not accept that insurance (Bupa) and that I will have to pay myself instead.
It was unprofessional that they accept the booking knowing the insurance company and then tell me I have to pay last minute, meaning that I will have to go elsewhere and wait. This has wasted 2 months of my time.
