This doctor completely ruined the experience for me. In his notes, he claimed that I was upset and saying the “F” word then stormed out as if I had no reason. Let’s fill in what he left out: every issue I explained I thought it was, he would laugh in my face and say “no” then give me no extra explanation for why it couldn’t be that. He then began his invasive exam with absolutely no warning then when he saw I was visibly uncomfortable he said “oops, sorry”, he told me nothing was wrong with me even though there has been something wrong since my massive abdominal surgery leaving me with issues that he is more than equipped to handle. I started to get upset because I have been trying to figure out what is wrong with me for over a year and the hospital he works at has incompetent doctors who pass me around from specialty to specialty because they don’t even care to try. (Never go to Queen Elizabeth Hospital). Then, when I started crying, I did say the “F” word and he mocked me and said “I don’t know what you guys do in America but we don’t do that here” (very false). I started to cry even more and he just stared at me and started laughing. It was the most humiliating and dehumanizing experience of my life. He was condescending and patronizing from the very beginning which explains my behavior. I was sick and tired of being ignored by the people who are meant to help me. Also, I don’t know about what they do in England, but where I’m from, if you write about a patient being difficult – if you don’t include your exact responses (like laughing in their face), it’s considered a false report and it is very illegal.
