I am a very fit 66 year old who was admitted to Hinchingbrooke Hospital with an unprovoked pulmonary embolism with right side heart strain because I had not realised the problem and kept on going for about a week with the symptoms, till I could no longer breathe properly. I was fortunate to have the encouragement and care of Dr Rona Kark who kept reassuring me it was treatable and I should recover fully. It was a shock going from hero to zero in a very short space of time. I am still recovering but feel light is there at the end of the tunnel now. Thank you Dr Kark.
