My name is Emma Traynor. I had an abscess inside my abdomen that burst, giving me sepsis and pain so bad I begged for death. The abscess had burst around main arterys & I needed a specialist surgeon to operate but could not find one available. I sat dying for 3 days, very close to death. Dr Petit decided he would do the surgery himself even tho this wasn’t his specialty. I was told I may lose my bowel, my leg and possibly not come out of this surgery alive. I didn’t care the pain was so immense I just wanted to get into surgery. Dr Petit saved my life. He is an amazing surgeon and a lovely man who I owe my life to. Unfortunately I have got hernias along my laparotomy scar that need surgery asap. I’m lucky enough to be under the care of Dr Petit once again. He will be doing my surgery again soon and I have total faith in this man and I really owe him so much.
